I. Acknowledging His Lordship:

Jesus is Lord whether we acknowledge it or not. We must choose to make Him the Lord of our lives if we claim to be His children.

1. Titles reveal important information about the people to whom they refer. What are some titles for Jesus in these verses?

II. Practicing the Lordship of Jesus Christ:

Once you accept Him as Lord of your life, you must prove that He is Lord by submitting to Him hour by hour and obeying Him daily.

1. A good test to see if He is really Lord of your life is to ask yourself, “Am I willing to do whatever Christ desires in this area of my life?” or “Will I be able to thank God for whatever happens in this area?”

  • Name any area in your life that you have not allowed Christ to control.
  • What can you do to acknowledge His Lordship in this area?
