     Chapter 17

 

God renews the covenant with Abram – Genesis 17:1

Abram’s name is changed, in token of a greater blessing – Genesis 17:5

Circumcision is instituted – Genesis 17:10

Sarai’s name is changed, and she is blessed – Genesis 17:15

Isaac is promised; God’s covenant to be established through him – Genesis 17:17
