Different Perspectives

It's amazing how people can see the same image or event but come to a completely different perception of reality. I suppose they call it "spin" and it happens every day in politics and theological debates. One Christian can look at an issue and come to a completely different belief than another Christian reading the same Bible:

1. One supports abortion as a choice and another is against it as murder.
2. One supports going after the terrorists while another will support passivism.
3. One will baptize an infant while another holds it is for those who profess faith.
4. One supports the ordination of women while another will holds that it is for men only.
5. One believes that the Bible condemns homosexuality while another uses the Bible to support a homosexual lifestyle.
6. One promotes that it is our spiritual and moral duty to support the current healthcare bill while another believes the bill is immoral by causing the country to go into unsustainable debt.

Through the creativity of these video editors, who don't usually get a lot of credit behind the outspoken actors and directors, we see that editing really is key to setting the tone of a film. My point is that what you always believed about these two films will now come into question. Check out these recut movie trailers.

These trailers completely change two well-known movies. The first takes The Shining and recasts it as a family-friendly comedy. The second makes a horror movie out of the Disney classic Mary Poppins. Notice how these movies have a new spin.
