My Vision:

“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]–blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.” – Proverbs 29:18 (Amplified Bible)

Knowing Christ and making Him Known. This involves an inward journey that touches our hearts, then an outward journey that moves us toward action and service.

My Objectives:

  1. To lead people toward commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  2. To involve them in responsible church involvement, commitment and membership
  3. To guide them in worship and devotional experiences
  4. To involve them in the study of biblical faith and the Christian life
  5. To involve them in experiences of Christian community
  6. To guide and encourage them in Christian witnessing
  7. To involve them in Christian social life and recreation
  8. To lead them to participate in Christian world missions
  9. To lead them to examine academic principles and life in general from a Christian perspective
  10. To enlist and train them for a life of Christian service

The Inward Journey

The heart and soul of HeartQuest stands on the Word of God. As we live out our lives, we experience an inward journey of getting God’s Word into our hearts by…

H – Hearing the Word of God
E – Examining the Word of God
A – Analyzing the Word of God
R – Remembering the Word of God
T – Thinking about the Word of God

Jesus said, ” Come unto Me…learn of Me.” (Matthew 11:28-30). This inward journey will take the form of:

  • Worship - Praise adoration and thanksgiving (Col 3:16).

  • Bible Study - Learning and living His Word (Acts 17:11).

  • Discipleship - Applying the lordship of Christ to all of life (Col 3:17, 23-24).

  • Fellowship - Sharing life with brothers and sisters in Christ (Acts 4:32).

  • Churchmanship - Involvement in the church (1Cor 12:12-13, 27).

  • Evangelism - Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8).

  • Missions - Reaching beyond the walls of the church (Acts 13:1-3).

  • Ministry/Social Action - Meeting human needs everywhere (Luke 4:16-19).
