In the Book of Job, among a lot of cyclical reading about Job’s pain and suffering, he get a lot of advice from his so-called friends. They were brutally honest, and although we don’t know their hearts, the words of Proverbs 27:6 ring very loudly with these guys.

  4. God rebukes Job’s friends (Job 42:7)

Zophar the Naamathite (Job 11; 20)

  1. Job’s sin deserves even more suffering than he’s experiencing
  2. Get rid of your sins (Job 11:13,14)

  4. God does not directly address Elihu

God (Job 38-41)
